Advance Negotiations (5-Day All Hands On)

This program is for the negotiator who has basic crisis negotiation training. Some experience in negotiations is preferred, but not required. The five-day course is set up to challenge the negotiator and to get them out of the classroom and into the field doing realistic every day scenarios.

The course is completely designed to refresh and tune up negotiator skills. Most negotiation courses only take place in the classroom, which makes it hard for the trained negotiator to keep their skills sharpened for the actual event. Negotiating is a perishable skill that has to be practiced to become reactive memory and second nature. The purpose of the hands-on class is to define and ingrain the accurate negotiation skills. This is a Police Officer Standard Training (POST) approved.
